My name is Donna Frances Hanks. Yes, I was one of those children that didn’t like their middle name! Hence…I was tagged with the childhood nickname Frannie. I grew up in a small town in the Midwest where I played outdoors, walked bean fields, and learned that the noon meal is called dinner and lunch is a snack you have in the afternoon! The population of the town at the time was 300…graduating class size - 12!
I’ve since left the small town but still call the Midwest home. I am married with three daughters and one son. We work well together as a blended family – the modern day Brady Bunch if you will.
Our children keep me busy as mom, taxi, coach, housekeeper, and study partner. If I’m not working, I am with them. That usually means we’re in the car on our way to the next activity or game. Subsequently, many life lessons are discussed and taught in the car.
I enjoy spending my free time (when I have some) hiking, walking, running and going on dates with my husband.
I was a teenager in the 80s - and all that that implies. I had big hair, dark sunglasses and jeans tightly rolled at the ankles. I never mastered the Rubik’s Cube, but was the proud owner and wearer of parachute pants!! Most of that has changed for me now (thank goodness!!)…except I still love 80s music!
Tapping into the spirit of people and discovering what motivates them is the highlight of my training. I like to use humor, personal experience, and audience interaction to bring out the best in every workshop participant. People leave my sessions feeling better about themselves, their jobs, and their relationships!
